Case Study
ISP Last-Mile Deployment
Last-mile underground fiber deployment for residential and small business service areas
Overview
T&O Underground delivered last-mile underground fiber for an ISP expanding service into residential and small business areas. The project included permitting coordination, trenching, conduit placement, fiber blowing, and complete restoration — with daily QA/QC reporting and a full closeout package at project end.
The Challenge
Last-mile deployments involve high-density work in active neighborhoods — driveways, sidewalks, landscaping, and private property crossings all require careful handling and clear communication with residents. Permitting across multiple jurisdictions added coordination complexity.
Our Approach
T&O coordinated permitting across all jurisdictions before mobilizing crews, eliminating stop-work delays. Field supervisors communicated directly with residents at each work site. Daily QA/QC reports were submitted to the ISP client, providing real-time visibility into production and quality. Restoration was completed by our in-house team to neighborhood standards.
